On a wickedly windy night on the 4th November, Taste of Barbados and the great and the good of the UK Bajan community were invited to the grand opening of the new Caribbean restaurant concept in Milton Keynes, Turtle Bay.

The first Barbados Festival took place in Reading market on 18th September. The festival was a resounding success and was a fantastic showcase of Bajan food, drink, crafts, music and culture.

Clem, who has been a regular trader at Reading market for quite some time, has been stocking products from Taste of Barbados since earlier this year. As a direct result of the recent Barbados Festival, business has boomed.

Following the first Barbados Festival of food and culture, popular international food store Bina Continental Stores(Oxford Road, Reading) has agreed to stock the entire product range from Taste of Barbados.

Turtle Bay a brand new Caribbean themed restaurant and bar due to be opening in Milton Keynes in early November will be featuring Taste of Barbados products. To compliment your meal, Aunt Mays Pepper Saunce will feature as a condiment on every table.

At the recent Speciality Fine Food Show in Yorkshire, The Harrogate News took away samples from most of the exhibitors to carry out their own sampling session and create their own 'top ten' procuct from the show.
